After two years of downtime, the Union Pacific #4014 Big Boy embarked on a new tour: one across portions of the south and the midwest United States. With one of the major locations a mere stone's toss away from home, there was no way to miss this - and this time, it had to be bigger than the last.

All told, this adventure encapsulated seven days, three states, and one train. Alongside the untold hundreds of chasers, towns & cities, and onlookers alike, there were no questions as to how busy and chaotic the event would be. Surprise pacing encounters, racing down gravel roads, bouncing across the hills of the Ozarks and bluffs of western Illinois, and even losing a tire - this was a trip to remember.
