Norfolk & Western railroad signals are some of the most visually stunning of them all. Tall, bulky, and imposing, these well-worn veterans have guided trains for decades - some dating back nearly 100 years! The Ellis Run signals aren't quite that old, but these red-eyed beasts have stood the test of time. So did we, as photographers, as we set up cameras to capture the stars behind the signals. Over 2.5 hours worth of exposures were combined to create these star trails, with twice as many to put the image together. The night sky is so much richer in rural Virginia than I had ever imagined.
This print has a partly glossy, partly matte finish, and is shipped rolled in a triangular tube-box. It does not include a frame, poster-only.
