Broken Pieces - Print
"Roughly two miles east of Loweth, MT, home of the Substation #2, a lone signal stands tall in the rural Montana landscape. The tracks were pulled up nearly 40 years ago, and this signals partner, the west-facing signal, disappeared about 15 years ago. No fences separate the lone Milwaukee Road signal from Montana 294. Other than the lonely two lane road, there is nothing else but wireless power lines and the roadbed the signal once controlled. Stripped of all electronics and its inner workings, it's no more than a big, empty metal husk. It's in such a sad and lonely place, it would be a shame for it to end up as scrap or merely broken pieces, lying amongst the Montana grass on the old roadbed."
