For weeks in the summer, the Union Pacific #4014 treated hundreds of thousands of spectators a chance to catch a rare glimpse at a fully operational Big Boy. It was a trip much longer, much more time consuming, than Ogden. Chasing it all would be impossible.
But, for a few days, the now legendary steam locomotive came through Illinois and Iowa... and it was time to chase once again.
