General updates - Jan 9 2015

So, content releases will be slower and slower because of school of course. Still, though, we'll see a few new things soon.

So, we've got some nice new stuff soon. Engine shed & yard tower will be the first to arrive in the near future, just kind of finalizing them and getting proper permissions. Billboard will NOT be in the immediate future, but it is being worked on.

Route-wise, Silver Lines route is going to be next. The base of it is done - it's been done since late summer of 2014, infact. Now, I'm going through and fixing it. Using new grasses, tracks, scenery, etc. It will still take a long time to do. It's a fairly large route. It will be done, though!

Yes, you heard right, the SLM will be released.

For those who don't know about the SLM - The SLM is Silver Lines Midwest, a much larger and better route than the original Silver Lines route. This route is an ongoing WIP and no deadline or even potential date has been set for it's completion. Currently, it has been a 1-track mainline surrounded by large crop fields. After hitting the huge Northborough Yard (which needs to be redone quite a bit - it's very much JR-y.), the tracks expand to a double-track mainline. Eventually passing by a locomotive repair shed and then the town of Northborough. Northborough is the current area of focus now, as it is the first real town I've started work on. It may not sound like a lot, but it's a long route. After some basic route planning, I'm going to be assuming the route will be ~15 baseboards LONGER, meaning it could end up as, say 30 more baseboards than it currently is. This is a rough estimate though, so no real set finish, of course.


You may have noticed (or not) the Donate button to the right of the posts. I have put that there in the off-chance someone would care to do so. Afterall, everything I put out is freeware. This site doesn't make me any money at all, as side note.
I'm not begging anyone for money, this is a 100% optional thing. Just there for if someone wants to.


Also - just did some updates to the site. Formatting, extra text, pictures, etc.
